You're Not Alone

You're Not Alone

A Poem by Chelsea Schermerhorn
"

Poem/song written for my sister who moved to Pennsylvania.

"

It's been so long; It's been so hard.
Here without her, Life has been so rough.
I've been so alone, here without her.
Going on living has been so tough.

It's been so long; It's been so hard.
After she left, into darkness I was led.
I've been so alone, here without her.
To me, it was as if I were dead.

It took me a year and a half,
Then, I was awakened.
After a year and a half,
God came to me and said:

"You're not alone, I am here.
I am with you, beside you,
Always near.
You're not alone, never fear.
I'll never leave you nor forsake you;
I am here."

I’m not alone, You are here.

You are with me, beside me,

Always near.

I’m not alone, I won’t fear.

You’ll never leave me nor forsake me;

You are here.
