-Cypress Cosmos
It was a glowing dark, A sea formless, vast and stark. They say meaning was mere chance, And nothing had a role to enhance. On the ground, no floor but sound, Silence the most spoken, And music the most profound. They say dreams came with open eyes, And the unreal was wisdom in disguise. It was the tale of Cypress Cosmos, Where "once upon a time" Was replaced by "the day before," And stories drifted, Forming silent shores. Objects were never themselves, But mere concepts, undefined, Each one meant to be thought, Then emptied from the mind. To feel, to see, to hear"one and the same. People sought not to grasp it all, Nor believed in more than their own claim. And love was oxygen, their endless call. Who could fathom such a view? Well... I could, Thinking it through. But in hindsight, wouldn’t it be" A dystopia too? © 2025 DabenAuthor's Note
