Explosion

Explosion

A Poem by Silent Mystery

An explosion of cells that excel my mind

Clears me of the clouds and rain that engulf me at da time

Like a ripple effect of fans in a crowd at a baseball game

I life myself above others with a common name

Da Poet then now a will always be

This fighters’ spirit that grants me clarity

Surrounded by sorrow the everyday drowns of man

Fallen to the low dramas at hand

I pick up this pen and write away

The troubles that surround me day-by-day

With this music that caresses my soul

Both they keep me from growing so cold

The o so common Dr. Seuss rhymes

Becomes as deep as Edgar Allan Poe’s “Raven” lines

“The rapping, rapping, tapping at my door”

Is no more full of despair and sorrow as his dear sweet Lenore

Instead a more brighter and clearer image of this being

This something this anything that yearns to be free it seems

The chronicles of man and their solitude of the blind

Are inscribed in these scrolls of time

I now open my mind behold

There is greatness in me long foretold

Beware of the emission of this blinding light

Beware of the phoenix that takes flight

So this explosion of cells that excel my mind

Is like the great big bang effect only in rhymes
