Inhale to Exhale

Inhale to Exhale

A Poem by Silent Mystery
"

Somethin I was just feelin at da time

"

Deep breathes the nurse says breathe, breathe

Ma’am I can see the baby’s head that you are trying to conceive

In, breathe out she pushes with all might

Pushing you into this world and you continue to fight

Finally without further do the nurse says the baby is born new

Inhale to Exhale…

Sometime has pass, you growing into a young man

The sweetest little thing your young eyes can see, takes you by the hand

Kiss me her soft voice sings as she whispers into your ear

Nervousness falls upon as these words you hear

Calm down young man this world is new to her too

Inhale to Exhale…

Years and years pass two of you are almost grown

Ready to start a life and move on

Little to her knowledge of a life you started years ago

Moving and distributing that white also known as dope

When competition sets in on you threatening you with guns to stop what you do

Inhale to Exhale…

Through the grace of God you get out only to soon

That the lives that followed your are now at their doom

On a night of such peace or to you it seems to be someone hears boom

Drops to his knees his nose and mouth begins to bleed, his mother wakes to doom

Sitting here at the funeral thinking to yourself that, that could’ve been you

Inhale to Exhale…

Finally at last her time has come

That young girl now your wife is about to barer you a son

Rushing to the hospital, speeding down the highway

Pressing on the gas trying your best to make your way

To be by the side of the girl now woman you call boo

Inhale to Exhale…

When bright lights flash all of a sudden blinding you

A car runs a red light a crashes into you but you get out and climb to your feet

Only to see your competition standing in front of you with the heat

Shots fire as they unload rounds into you as the streets riddle with screams from you

Inhale to Exhale…

About 20 miles away your baby is born

Into the arms of your wife where he is wrapped in a blanket warm

The intercom calls for the doctor to return to the E.R.

A policeman steps into the rooms with photos of your car

Thinking of the worst she begins to ball pleading to see you

Like I said thru the grace on God, you make it thru

Thinking to yourself as your wife lays next to you

Inhale to Exhale…
