Daddy's Arms

Daddy's Arms

A Poem by DaWonAndOnli

We've never seen each others face

Yet we share the same blood.

I've never held your little hand

But I gave you all my love.

I often have visions of you

late night in my dreams.

I see you as a great leader,

a princess or a king.

Sometimes I wonder

if you were a boy or a girl

and other times I'm glad

you never had to see this horrible world.

You never had to experience

being lied to your face,

death of loved ones,

or being hated because of your race.

I hope you're with God now

and he's protecting you from harm

One day I'll be there to my child,

and you'll be back in daddy's arms.

Very sweet and mournful.

So very sad and so very endearing. Is this going off of your own personal history? If so, I'm so sorry for your lost. Miscarriages are always hard for families to deal with, my prayers are with you.
And this is a great, inspirational poem. The flow is great. And it all falls into a very endearing last line, "and you'll be back in daddy's arms"
