new friend

A month later, i was feeling real down cause I couldn't play

on the basketball team this year, everyone knew how basketball meant to me, i love the game more than anything. Was at home watching tv when mom came in the house with uncle Animal, he came in the room and smile "hey lil bug."

I looked at him and said "hey unc." and looked back at the tv, he was shocked cause he knows he's my most favorite uncle and when i see him i always give him a big old hug and kiss on his cheek. mom said "she's upset she cant play basketball this year." he said "aww." he thought to himself and whisper in mom's ear. she said "sure, im cool with it."

he said "come on lil bug, we're going for a ride." as he turned the tv off. i made a face as i got up and we got in his truck. was scaring out the window not paying attention to where we was going. couple minutes later we pulled up in the parking lot of a pet shop. got out and went inside, he said "alright lil bug, let find you a lil buddy." i looked at him and mom

she smiled at me as she nod her head and said "go ahead baby." I looked around the place, than i locked eyes with the cutest off white and brown pug puppy. he was away from the other dogs was staring at me with his tongue out. I walked up to him, kneel down as i held out my hand to him. he bark as he place his front paws on it. I smile "hey." then he jump into my arms started licking me on my face. I started laughing, one of the workers came up to me and laughed "hey he likes you." mom and uncle animal came up to me and smile, i said "can i have him?" mom smile "of course baby." I smiled was so happy, i carried him to the register, the woman ask

"so what do you want to call him?" I thought to myself and said

"chico, ima call him chico." they put a dogtag and collar on him gave

us dog food and some toys and we left. got in the house i was ready to play with him. we played all day, mom uncle and miguel smiled as they watched me play with chico. mom had took a bunch of pictures. she sent some to her friends she works with.

three hours later me and chico was asleep in my bed, mom and miguel was standing outside of my door smiling. Miguel said "tonight was the first time, we've seen her smile." mom said "yea, getting a dog was just the thing to get her to cheer up." they went on downstairs to the kitchen, miguel said "i know she was very upset she cant play ball, but getting a dog is the best thing having a puppy might be a lot of work but they do make you smile and laugh." Chico became my best friend, always had him with me.
