Day it started

K:was in the bathroom when i heard the lock-down alarm going off, didnt hear tha announcements so i came out of the bathroom just as i was finna turn the corner i was pulled behind to the ground, i saw that it was Stone.  i ask "dude what you are doing?" he said "shh, a guy entered the school with a gun." i was like "what?" we was hiding, mom(Kate) was in the classroom, had all the kids hiding away from the windows and door. the doors were locked and the lights were turned off. she was worrying about me and stone.

Then me and stone ran down the hall when we heard the madman coming down the hall, he began shooting at us as he chased after. ran around the corner than he shot at us again, stone got hit in the leg and fell to the ground then i scream "ahhh." as i got hit in the back, had drop to the ground. mom grasp when she felt a sharp pain in her chest. he was finna shoot again but took off when he heard the sirens and a police radio, took off in the parking lot the cops got him. Stone crawl over to me was crying "Kay wake up, open your eyes." he looked around and shout "help...somebody help please." the teachers heard stone's voice and told the kids to stay in their hiding spots they came out into the hall. had grasp, mom came out into the hall she scream "Kourtney." and ran to me, i wouldn't open my eyes she crying for me to wake up. then the ems came got me and stone on the gurney and rushed us to the hospital. stone was okay after awhile he was sitting in the waiting room with mom, Miguel and the family. I was in surgery, the doctors manged to stop the bleeding and got the bullet out of me. but i had slipped into a coma, was critical. the doc came out into the waiting room everyone had jumped to their feet, he told mom and them the news. mom had lost her balance when the doctor told her that i slipped into a coma, the doc said "im so sorry, i'll come back once we put her in a room." he left, miguel held mom in his arms.

after awhile mom and miguel were standing over me, crying telling me that they are there and they want me to wake up. I was in a coma for four days, it was 6pm when i finally opened my eyes. saw mom standing over me scaring off to space, felt that she was holding my hand, i struggled to squeeze my hand. mom gasp when she felt it and looked at me, i tried to smile. she smile "mi amour." she looked to her left and said "miguel she's awake." he rushed back in the room stood by my side. i struggled to speak "mam....ma." she shush me as she said "shh, try not to talk." couple days later, i was able to get up out the bed but my legs were real weak cause of the bullet. Was in rehab for it, took me a long while to get the feeling and control of my legs. then one day i decided to go back to school. mom and them were saying i shouldn't go back so soon. I told them i wasn't going to let this keep me from going on with my life, i'll be fine..if i feel too overwhelm i'll let yall know. came to school, everyone was happy to see me back and was feeling alright. had crunches. I actually managed to get through the entire day without any problems. had met up with mom downstairs by the office after school we walked to the truck had got in, went and picked miguel up from the high school. had drove on home, got to the house couple minutes later. Came inside went up to my room, had did my homework than i had fell asleep. was knocked out cold cause of the pain meds i had to take. miguel was in the tv room watching tv with mom when she noticed I haven't come back downstairs. she got up as she said "im gonna go check on your sister." she went upstairs, got to my room smirk when she saw me asleep in my bed. she came in moved my books off the bed and place them on my computer desk, fixed my blanket and gave me a kiss on my forehead. i woke up an hour later had went downstairs and ate dinner with them. after that i showered and changed into my pjs, had watched some tv with mom and miguel than i went on to bed. Around two in the morning, i was having a nightmare. mom was coming up the stairs from checking to make sure everything was locked up when she heard me moaning and groaning in my sleep. she heard me said "no...please dont." she rushed in my room had woke me up i gasp as i opened my eyes, looked around than held mom in my arms as i began crying. she held me rubbed my back as she said "its okay, its going to be okay baby." she laid with me til i fell back to sleep.
