Playground

A Poem by Derek Thiem
"

Poem about an autumn day at the playground with my 7 year old daughter.

"

Playground

I met a girl named Bliss

amidst the sunbeams of

a child’s smiles,

stayed a while,

watched the leaves fall-

floating dust motes

of autumn rainbow

played in wind

like children singing

one last gasp of color

leaping out against the gray.
