Ignorant Dreams

Ignorant Dreams

A Poem by DWelling88

Damn the light of age and knowledge
For it has shined on the darkness where my childish dreams grew
Where once I clung to a pillow of hope
Comforted by a blanket of ignorance
I now lie awake in a bed of wisdom
Where worries replace wishes
And fantasies are forgotten
And though the world is full of wonder
And shown me all it's gleam
I am still but a man
Only longing for a dream
