Stolen Air

Stolen Air

A Poem by Calvin Warden II

The air escapes my lips
As you steal my breath away
Running to the shadows
Hiding from the pure light
Not understanding the truth
And having no direction
You don't know what to do
Or what it is that you belive
Your heart and your head
Battle for control once again
Trying not to lose your soul
But the choice is ready to see
And you don't have to listen to me
Just do what you know is right
And then you will be freed
