Faded Lines

Faded Lines

A Poem by Calvin Warden II

Remember those words I wrote to you
Oh so many years ago
The pages are no longer white
Blue lines long faded away
The ink has swelled and blurred
Stains now seem so clear
Try as I might those words are gone
Lost to me forever in time
No I don't remember them anymore
But I still know what they ment
Every pen stroke was a letter
Saying how much I love you
But those days are long gone now
And you have since move on
Yet these words I know are true
No matter what I will always love you
