Summers Tears

Summers Tears

A Poem by Calvin Warden II

There is hatred in the air
Terror fills our streets
Everyone seems so mad
There's no peace to be found
People fighting a cause
Others just starting chaos
When will people learn
We all need to get along
Forget our differences
Embrace who we are
Open our eyes and see
What every child sees
Hate is something learned
But love comes naturally
So stop all the fighting
And accept that we are one
