Remember Me

Remember Me

A Poem by Calvin Warden II
"

This is in honor of the MMIW movement

"
If I went missing today
Would you search for me
Or would you think I ran away
Believing lies of a dangerous life
And those who say I don't care
Questioning my family bonds
And my resolve to make it better
Know that life has been tough
Would you think I just gave up
In your heart you know the truth
Knowing that I always push through
And family means everything to me
So why do you turn your back
I think I understand now
It's not that you don't know
It's just easier to accept the lies
After all my skin doesn't fit in
Well what ever is your reason
REMEMBER ME!
