Protectors Soul

Protectors Soul

A Poem by Calvin Warden II

You asked me why I do what I do
A simple question I can not answer
Helping you through the pain
Showing you there's another way
The journey we share may be flawed
But together we seem to carry on
I may lean on you sometimes
But I'll be there in times of need
Showing you that I care
Without saying a word aloud
Proving that I'll always love you
Because of what I have
Because of who I am
This is what I share with you

The speaker offers nothing more than the best of himself. What else could be asked for?

Some of the nicest gestures are done without saying a word - it’s easy to understand how much this person must mean to you :)
