Free But Alone

Free But Alone

A Poem by Calvin Warden II

It was a hot summer night
The moon was bright
I could see the rejection
It was all over your face
The pain like a dull knife
Is inflicted upon me
I'll hide in outer space
'Cause I know it's a let down
Don't tell me anymore
It's the rejection I see
I'm free but I'm alone
Love is on it's way
It needs to find me
Love will set me free
