Poet's Eyes

Poet's Eyes

A Poem by Calvin Warden II

I stand by and watch silently
As I myself put pen to page
The poets words begain to flow
As the pen dances with glee
Jumping with reckless abandon
Leaving behind its broken trail
The letters join together as one
And the words form their line
All guided by the unknown
Never stopping till the poem is done
Stepping back I see the work
Knowing not it's origins
Or where the words come from
Silenced by what's upon the page
And realizing that work is mine
