My Mental AnguishA Poem by Calvin Warden II
I shared my life with her,
Her thoughts she hid from me, She left me for another, Another left her to be, Her pain she does not feel, For it's her pain that I steal, The deep pain tries to kill her, Pain she tries not to feel, The daze on which she cries, For her love has told her lies, She left me here to cry, With my life she will fly, I now know she'll never be, Never be in love with me, To me she was cruel, She treated me like a fool, I love her work all my heart, She made my world fall apart, Now their love is through, But our friendship is still true. © 2019 Calvin Warden II |
