Searching

I need to be grounded upon this earthly sphere
Because this is where my temporal body resides
And yet my soul cries out to be set free
Longing for an adventure lost in love
But is that really the way to go lost and alone
Struggling to find that which does not exist
The love of another is an eternal quest
But the love I have to give is forever flowing
A never ending rain falling over this mortal ball of dirt
Healing all that have the courage to accept it
But where and when will this all end
I know the fountain can not continue forever
Not even this soul can survive without sustenance
With so much to give asking so little in return
Confused, lost, and wandering in the clouds a high
Trapped alone in the darkness below
So where am I in this mess that I now lie
Trying to find my peace and love lost
Just trying to find that which is needed
Achieving that believed to be only fantasy
