Regret

Regret

A Poem by Calvin Warden II

Your love kept me aloft for years
Now I'm grounded filled with sorrow
My world has flooded with my own tears
Sitting alone I wait for a better tomorrow
I'm wondering what I should do now
Questioning how did I drive you away
I love you still but don't know how
Will we be together again some day
You tell me I did nothing wrong
Then why did you have to leave
Do you no longer believe our song
Fine then leave me here to grieve
I don't know who I am anymore
Nor do I know where I belong
I'm in a lot of pain but i am not sore
To rebuild my would I now say so long.
