ReachA Poem by Calvin Warden II
I found you sitting there alone
Beaten and battered by the storm Drowning in you own thoughts Memories rising faster then they should Like water rushing over the damn You are struggling in this flood The mixed emotions of the past The torrent of forgotten pain The deluge of joys remember And you are getting swept away Now you can't tell up from down But I'm here to lend you a hand To remind you that there is more So reach out and take my hand And stop living in the past Your future is so bright and free So remember when there's to much rain Call on me for steady ground © 2019 Calvin Warden II |
