We Are

We Are

A Poem by Calvin Warden II

I find myself buried in darkness
Searching for any sign of light
So lost in this vast emptiness
Grasping just to feel anything
What is this place so strange
So void of all things real
It leaves my senses wanting
As I find myself drifting away
Can there truly be nothing
Absolutely no one to be found
But then I feel a strange warmth
And suddenly I know you're there
And you are all I'll ever need
Because alone we are complete
But together we are so much more
So even when apart the magic flows
