Lost Road

Lost Road

A Poem by Calvin Warden II

You said you'd love me forever
That we would always be as one
Somewhere along the way you turned
And i went to follow your love
But you were already gone
So now i stand alone
In the middle of the road
So many people paying by
None seem to notice
Lost in their own worlds
Not caring about ours
So where did it all go wrong
Was i chasing the moon
While you were chasing the stars
I believed we were on the same path
But were we just in passing lanes
Watching the same scene
Dreaming the same dream
Or  are we ment to be together
Will our partners collide again
This i need to know
Because I'll always love you
