I'm Fine

I'm Fine

A Poem by Calvin Warden II

I tell them I'm fine
They know it's a lie

Sigh

They know that sometimes wrong
But they don't know the cause

Sigh

They can see the pain
Yet not every see the scars

Sigh

Even surrounded by people
I remain oh so alone

Sigh

This burdon is mine alone
And I see it reflect in your eyes

Sigh

Why do I continue to fight
When my misery I spread

Sigh

Only I can eliminate this dread
Free myself from this torture

Sigh

So when you ask me how I am
I will lie and say I'm fine
