Empty promises and broken dreams
Following your heart is harder than it seems
In search of everlasting love
To many wrong paths lie before me
My mind says it's not ment to be
That love is no longer there for me
But I keep trudging toward my goal
Really what else could I do
These feeling keep swelling up inside
As if they are trying to bury me
Preventing a future I can no longer see
But in truth what does it all mean
Is there really more to this existence
More than broken promises and empty dreams
