Bad Memories

Bad Memories

A Poem by Calvin Warden II

All I have are empty dreams.
Hopeless fate or so it seems.
To say I live would be a lie.
But nor do I want to die.
For I have long lost my friend.
My soul no longer will mend.
My heart is broken and lonely.
Since all have left me to be.
Never again shall I have rest.
Waking up hoping for the best.
But then she will never realize.
That I have never told her lies.
Never will she believe the cost.
Because now I am forever lost.
All I wanted was to be a friend.
Will this torment ever end?
