The Broken Road

The Broken Road

A Poem by Srishti Agrawal

As the sun grow dark
And the light past half
The so called past
Shed a bit of a half.

Smiling, frowning, grinning, teasing
Left my side like a traveller’s inn.
But that was just for the time being
Until couldn’t get, I deserve a better sovereign.

The shadows have left
And so has the theft.
A bit more of intellect
So no more decept.

Stronger than ever, I stand today
Seek pleasure for making me this way.
Thanks to the Almighty for all His grace
Coz without His play, I would have lost my way.
