Soul to my ChatterboxA Poem by Srishti Agrawal
From the prime I eloped my roof
You people have bestowed me with homey co-op. Never pictured to greet such cohort Who fade my home pinning with such comfort. Round-the-clock, we chat and chat And mortals around go jealous and flat. Who bothers for what they expect Coz we buddies will never distract. Let it be itch, let it be foe There’s nothing we don’t bestow. From the first ray to the last bay Our chatterbox can’t be caged. The bits we adore, the memories we bore Have already imbrued my inner will. Lingering for many more like those For we are kin’s that never live. With tide...everything will change Temper, pride, or let it be brain. The only plea to Almighty at frame This unique bond shall never face tame. © 2017 Srishti Agrawal |
