I'm usually not one for wishes.

I'm usually not one for wishes.

A Poem by DriDri

I'm usually not one for wishes,
but if I could, I would wish for simplicity,
because complications confuse the brain,
and trains may follow tracks, but all roads,
must end somewhere.
A place where the unknown secrets usually.
are told, so where ever you end up, you may
be found out later.

I'm usually not one for wishes,
but if I could, I would wish for silence, the violence
in the world is loud, with pride bestowed
upon the breast of our forefathers,
we disrespect our women that have come
to birth the nation, with cold hearted
inflations of ugly words, those birds that fly
usually head south for the winter. The harshness
of fridged conversations cause a gust, of misconceived
ovulations of the truth.

I'm usually not one for wishes,
but if I could , I would wish for the justice
that just isn't given, guns transmitted and transported
to schools, held by fools and aimed. Bullet holes through
backpacks lives lost never gained back,
just broken crayons and snapped pencils lessons unlearned,
unused utensils.

But remember, i'm not usually,
one for wishes.
