Your Face is not symmetrical

Your Face is not symmetrical

A Poem by DriDri

Writing beauty into sunsets,
really it wasn't all that perfect,
and I like imperfection
that your face is not quite symmetrical.
Like those guys in Calvin Klien advertisements,
because photoshop is a disease
of the media.
It breeds in the mind,
until magazine covers are the image
of perfection and long teenage introspection,
leads to questions in the steamed bathroom mirror.
I've seen your insides,
Your blood and guts
and purple parts.
I'll call them beauty,
deeper than skin.
I cannot begin to tell you in words,
my mind does not work fast enough,
but I can write down scenarios.
In which we share sunsets,
and they are beautiful everytime.
But, I'm not looking at them.
I'm staring at the side of your face,
and the way,
it's not quite symmetrical.
