MIRRORA Poem by Dryford ChimutuIn this poem the speaker’s narrative serves as a mirror to help the listener reflect on their own character or personality. We are little honored While our gallantry and resolve Wonder and ebb away Into the abyss of laze and void; But..., rather, whilst the tide grows; Heading for the lido. And absolutely It is during our prime; Whilst there is sap yet to chew; That we all outstrip. Else, we are just too ornate: For on ogling into the mirror Do the facial facets As seen deep into the speculum Not evince the pufferies of our pride?
