SEA CUCUMBERS

SEA CUCUMBERS

A Poem by Dryford Chimutu
"

This is a poem about bosses who flirt with their subordinates. The piece is based on real life corporate scandal at one broadcasting company in Malawi.

"
When despotic execs corrupt
Un’abstemious sanities interrupt
Or who beheld
Sea cucumbers in the bureaus sprout?
For should the decorous set the sea cucumbers
to the display
Shenanigans the pageant do them dismay
Or who beheld
The sea cucumbers in the bureaus decay?

When the frenzied hankerings delude
All bray sombre letter’ resonate to spell ‘exclude'
Or who beheld
Corporate scandals in the bureaus preclude?
For should the vestiges be unceasingly
disloyal to the whole
The holothurians flanked by the haunches core
Or who beheld
The shenanigans in the bureaus preserve the chore?

So,
When the sea cucumbers go for the display
The shenanigans aren't restrained
While on the slack the corporate scandals go;
to fail ‘nd overplay.
