A Rose in WinterA Poem by Twelve Steps to ZeroInspired by a harsh winter spend at an altitude of 3000 feet, and a single flower that called out to the poet in me. An ode to beauty that can be found anywhere, anytime, as long as you look for it.
Like blood amidst the snow,
A single rose bloomed, And cast a fiery glow On the frozen earth And the frosty leaves And it gave birth - To hope within all Men. That Summer may go; harsh Winter come
But beauty on Earth shall always remain. © 2013 Twelve Steps to Zero |
