RestlessA Poem by Sarah Jane
Sleep pads my eyelids,
Cushions my voice, Blankets my thoughts Until they are thick and Lined with a hazy fog. Laden with chaos I lay here awake. Burdened by the broken Figments of my vivid Imagination. One by one, my lashes Stitch themselves. Blinking out the blinding Connections That keep me rooted To my sheets. Soon I'll be shifting Between scenes Of understanding And confusion, Hoping in a few hours I'll be fresh. © 2020 Sarah JaneReviews
