The Man of the MoonA Poem by Sarah JaneSyncronizing of symphonies The bellowing of the moon Crying out to the galaxies A sentencing of solitude An eternity of inprisonment There was a time long ago When the moon was of bone Made of spirit and of flesh And hopes and happiness He was an affable gentleman With a kind heart and smile On journey of redemption What hell has he dwelled in? What stories does he know? Why did he bare a black hole? Shallow crimson, a fitted suit So each day he traveled out To far beyond and all around Mending hearts to hear the sound The beating of lost souls On crossroads, he met a cliche A deal with devil And all he portays To simply soften all hearts, with nothing But a dim glow and a glance And a budding romance Until the milky way fades An agreement gone no better Two heads agreed together Sealed the deal to bind the man Forever more into the night sky And when began to bellow Chosen fate turned him to stone Soft hearts bruised with sorrow Or the longing of their lovers Look towards the nighttime sky Finding sonething without intent Feeling comfort without desire The man of the moon tried to rectify The mistakes of man lacking empathy Yet we look to our gods forgiveness Because our sins have been washed Scrubbed away with bloody hands That we will never witness ourselves But millionf eyes this second Meet eyes with those moon craters As he hangs delicatly to link souls Because who hasnt thought about Someone else who might be looking too Sarah Jane © 2016 Sarah JaneReviews
