A Lost Night

A Lost Night

A Poem by Sarah Jane

The ceiling has so many colors
They're loud and scream at me
I wish I could stop the muffles
The clouded pictures presented
Above my broken view

I wish I were I box of cereal
Full of crunch and sweets
Wonderful colors of floating candy
In front of an idealistic model
That will never be an idol

Steamy piles of gruesome content
cover the water inside the lines
We all hope she makes it.
But we will never know unless
We wake up first
