Trapeze!A Poem by John ButlerLove comes tumbling from the heights!
Daring tumblers, catch trap eye
Twenty five feet, you and I Dangerous motion, high above Adrenaline hunters, seeking love Flybar jumper, deadly view Chalked hands outstretched, reach for you Full thrust force out, now mid air! Triple mover, wanton care Hands and forearms locked in tight Grip then loosens, not quite right Loves liaison, broke, unsound Tumbler plunges, solid ground! Heart in pieces, worst fall yet Soul destroyed, no safety net Daring tumblers, catch trap eye Twenty five feet, you and I Dangerous motion, high above End of gotcha, end of love! © 2015 John Butler |
