The Cult of One!

The Cult of One!

A Poem by John Butler
"

Beware the Cult of One! There can only be one member. You have been warned! Read on if you dare!

"
The Cult of One, when it begun
Started in November
She laid the rule, not being a fool
There would only be one member!

Off she went, on life hell bent
She always would remember
And put the skids, on men's hot bids
Crushed love's fiery ember

The Cult of One, she had great fun
Her beauty cast a spell
Five foot two , eyes of blue
Lips as hot as Hell!

Curvaceous curves culled those men
Who set her in their sights
One by one, she picked them up
Then dropped them from great heights

Word went out, a whispered shout
The Cult was not for sale
Some set out, to find her out
Never lived to tell the tale!

One desperate day,in the month of May
When summer sows its madness
She opened up her soul to one
Showed him all her badness

He produced a blade, of greenest jade
Decided he would end it
Then flung it high, with vengeful eye!
Towards the Cult did send it

The Cult of One, not one to run
Grabbed it in mid-flight
Hurled it high, with manic eye
Death claimed her man that night!

She's out there still, and takes her fill
Of any man she savours
She lures them in, will always win
No man earns her favours

The Cult of One, when it begun
Started in November
She laid the rule, not being a fool
There would only be one member!
