Moon Screamer!

Moon Screamer!

A Poem by John Butler
"

In a parallel Universe. a lone wolf, cursed from birth, changes into a man when a full moon shines!

"

Shadow movers, moonswept plain
Primal stalkers, beating rain
Wolf pack leader, stealth platoon
Instinctive howling, high full moon

Lone wolf far off,tethered chain
Body writhing, searing pain
Toxic brain melt,limbs explode
Synaptic shockwave, full implode

Muscles tighten, flesh is changed
Vocal chords , rearranged
Sinews tauten, pulsing vein
Heart enlarges, time again!

Cursed since cub, at full moon rise
Assume a dread form, human guise
Head tilts back, 'neath full moon beam
Emits no howl, just shrieking scream!
