The Familial Moon Ancient, Winter 2012

The Familial Moon Ancient, Winter 2012

A Poem by DMurrell

Western moon is a

Celestial  bird's nest cradled in cloud limbs.

See? Ulysses reckons his path!

See his night trek guided to the trash can

Rolled to the curb

For Thursday morning's early pick-up service

Insuring Penelope has no complaint tonight.

And their boy listens to i-tunes and

plays Battlefield 3.

Before going back inside he pauses for one last look

at the sliver of a moon

glowing in the clouds in the west.
