Sunday, Someday!

Sunday, Someday!

A Poem by Dylan Macadham
"

Snippets, in 3 lines ...

"
Of all the Week's days
my favorite is Sunday.
It's my interlude.
.  .  .
My obligations
and tangled web of worries
are on peaceful pause.
.  .  .
And if you buy this
I have a Bridge in Brooklyn
I can sell you cheap.
___________

In traditional Senryu/Haiku format

George C. Parker (186o-1937)
was an infamous American con man who successfully
and repeatedly 'sold' the Brooklyn Bridge to unwary immigrants.

Always fun when I visit here; now do you accept wooden nickels for this bridge?

Hahahaha last line is sssoooo clever! I thought that was a cultural joke, cause in Turkey we say “ I have a bridge in Istanbul, cheap!” Enjoyed this one so much.
