a TrumpDump: When is too late?

a TrumpDump: When is too late?

A Poem by Dylan Macadham
"

Snippets, in 3 lines ...

"
Will it come too late,
Trump's inevitable fall,
to save what remains?
.  .  .
Will it come too late,
to stop Vladimir Putin
and our World War 3?
.  .  .
Will it come too late
to keep climate change at bay?
~
...Sure don't look that way.
_________

In traditional Senryu/Haiku format

...When will Republicans in Congress
put our children's future above saving their seats(butts)?

If we made it through the Revolution, the Civil War and the Depression, we will survive a loud, obnoxious sociopath who has managed to hypnotize a large herd of the nearsighted and attention span challenged. His shallowness and recklessness will eventually lead him to do something that will alienate his base. Then history will nail his hide to the wall, along with those of his congressional enablers.

I’ve been told that the point of no return is where our courage meets our calling. However, given that we are in the golden age of cowardice and stupidity, we may not be able to turn the ship around.

Never under estimate the power of Fear and Ignorance, my friend. It can create nations as quick as it can destroy them. A swath of our society struggles immensely with a foundational base of education called Common Sense. It's more difficult to fool those of higher education, but fear has the power to manipulate those who are of incurious mind. Repeat a lie continuously and they will believe. There is a specific telling reason one party would like to abolish the department of education. The rule of law is also eroding and has been for years. It is becoming more and more obvious money can have a drastic impact upon crime and punishment. All the things that made us an example of the free world are being used against us by ourselves. Self immolation. When we cease to stop caring about each other, eventually we stop caring about ourselves and become resigned to our inevitable fate.

Thanks Carlos for a nice review and for sharing your thoughts :) ...Yes, troubled times.
Ah, it might be too late to stop everything. It might be too late for us to stop eating peanut butter, it might be too late to stop ourselves play in the park and it might be too late to stop us writing poems.

Move to the positives but keep a watch on the negatives :)

Will it come at all?
World War 3 would make Donald a wartime President.
Maybe he wants that.
