Extremists

Extremists

A Poem by Dylan Macadham
"

Haiku, my first try ...

"

In ‘sounds of silence’

do extremists forge changes

come winter and spring.

 . . . .

Dedicated to Kathy, and Simon & Garfunkel

This is beautiful
I for one grew up with Simon and Garfunkel as a high schooler in early 70s
Anyway love them
Your write reminds me of the current situation horrible as it is how the powers that be worldwide are forging plans in the deep of night while we are asleep silent
Some of us have awoken we need more
Great write
I love anything that incorporates a line from a song 🎵 so was drawn to it immediately

A 5/7/5 no less, and penned perfectly. I am a huge fan of Simon & Garfunkel, the sounds of silence being one memorable album. As for extremists they do say that lockdowns encouraged these bedroom warriors to hatch their plans even further, Always done in the shadows, always out of sight, never knowing when they will strike next. Your writings are often riddle like. I think you get a kick out of making people think :)

You & Kathy have made a rare connection, it would seem! I'm glad for you. Knowing each of you separately, I can see how you two would be on similar wavelengths sometimes (((HUGS)))

hey hey Dylan , wonderful try my friend . Thanks for the mention , I actually listened to the song , its quite good . A deep meaning this holds , truly in the midst of silence , the extremists hatching plan to forge changes as spring and winter comes by .who knows what happens next ? But somehow this reminds me of the person who is behind all this ( creation of universe ) making seasons happen everything working in the shadows while we live our lives .
