Spunk!

Spunk!

A Poem by Dylan Macadham
"

A poem in 12 lines

"

Ever feel like you’ve lost your spunk?

That everything in life has turned to junk?

Then like a phoenix you rise to a brand-new day,

Wondering what was the source of your dismay?

We are told we have choices,

and we can choose to be happy,

Which is all well and good,

 yet a little bit sappy!

A choice made must be kept in motion,

If not it’s just a throwaway notion,

And your spunk is as a rudderless craft,

Adrift upon a choppy uncharted ocean.

Without spunk I'd be junk. Feels good to be a vertebrate. Nice poem.
