Half Spent

Half Spent

A Poem by Dylan Macadham
"

A poem in 10 lines

"

I had a thought the other day,

A thought that wouldn’t go away,

A loop of mind I couldn't dispel,

It took me down to somber hell.

It had occurred to me you see,

That life one day would end for me,

That this time I’ve been lent,

Is already half spent.

With health and luck I’ve years ahead,

But my youthful affair with time is dead.
