Jill: “Ever wish you could read people’s minds?”

Jack: “Yes, it could make me crazy rich.”

Jill: “And crazy miserable.”

Jack: “Why, because I’d hear things I wouldn't like?”

Jill nods. “Social veneer is paper-thin.”

Jack: “I'm a big boy. I can handle incoming.”

Jill: “Even if it rocks your self-concept?”

Jack: “Screw self-concept. I’d be rich!”

Jill: “Would you rather be miserable-rich, or happy-poor?”

Jack rubs his chin and gazes upward.

Jill: “ … Jack ?”

Jack: “I’m thinking.”
