Jack: “And you, What’s your favorite time of day?”

Jill: “When I sit down to dinner with Anderson.”

Jack: “ … Who’s Anderson? Your pet puppy?”

Jill: “My pet CNN anchor.”

.   .   .

Jack: “Ah, yes, Anderson Cooper, the ol’ Silver Fox. He’s okay.”

Jill: “He’s authentic. What you see is what you get.”

Jack: “What do you get?”

Jill: “A comfy feeling that all is right with the world,”

.   .   .

Jack: “But he always leads with what’s wrong with it.”

Jill: “Yes, but it’s that adorable, flabbergasted way he always does it.”

Jack: “Thirty years a newsman, and he’s still shocked by stuff?!”

Jill: She smiles. “Yeah, it takes me back to a time when we were all shocked by stuff.”
