Gently

Gently

A Poem by DMCMaster550
"

Just something I came up with while listening to Daphne Descends by the Smashing Pumpkins from the album Adore

"

In the sorrow of a death blue night
Her eyes glowing under twilight
Lipstick black suicide thoughts through starlight
Kill her gently sing her tonight
Discard beauty with arm shattered scars
Pink flower whistles the black kiss
Mercury rust humming the downer lusts
She crashes the crooked arc
Nighttime wishes sleep her tight
Whisper blues with memories of lost perfection
Angel smiles in heavens frown
Discard beauty with arm shattered scars
Pink flower whistles the black kiss
Mercury rust humming the downer lusts
Car crash sighs love broken
Shadow dreams of betrayal songs
Runaround skies ribbon razors cut precise
End of sorrow the final sacrifice

And Monday morning zeroes knock on doors, ripe with promise,
Of greater places simple and clean
Time ravages clean turned dirty
Stains of teardrop ashes, gone tonight
