When the Storm ComesA Poem by DMCMaster550This song is like my last farewell to my family and loved ones. If I were to die tomorrow I would never get the chance to say these things. It's my final words and a goodbye to everyone if I were to die today.Inside the hurt dwells deeply like sadness within lost memories, And when it comes/when it takes me away, Beneath the sunshine and the desolation of a lost day, I’ll sing my prayers for you as you keep me inside hearts memory. I’ll build for you a bed to sleep on when it hurts, And blanket you in memories of a better day, Warm and confined in the solemn power of death, Aching pain and decaying flames can’t hold things down, When I’m gone/don’t let the hurt get to you. Prayers of lost perfection and songs of monotone shades, Hold their sway when reality is gone in glimpses of mortality, Coffins built up under snow-white dreams, Winter storms of calm take the unknown to their graves, When that storm comes for me/know I’m not gone I’ve only been saved. I’ll build for you a bed to sleep on when it hurts, And blanket you in memories of a better day, Warm and confined in the solemn power of death, Aching pain and decaying flames can’t hold things down, When I’m gone/don’t let the hurt get to you. Remote, mute and delicate these things are, Reminding you the subtle texts of mortal limits, In the end it’s where we all go, We’ll meet up again someday.
