Disdain and Love pt 1-6

This is a six piece song (my first try at something that would end up prog rock) about two people from different ends of the spectrum who fall in love. But a group finds the man insane and tries to take them apart ultimately leading in a tragic ending.

Pt 1: Disdain and Love

Curtains open up to the darkness hiding behind glass,
Glass opens up to the light unseen and misplaced,
Inside this world inside this home,
There’s familiarity and safety within deepening sadness,
The outside all aliens among unfamiliar faces,
All running amongst themselves with growing anticipation.

Here he hides unaware of the world outside,
Here he lives in his home under the grey skies pouring the rain,
In tranquility and peace left alone.

The outside all friends among familiar faces,
Running along side one another with growing anticipation.

Here she hides aware of the world outside,
Here she lives in her home under the blue skies pouring in the sunshine,
In tranquility and peace never alone yet always alone.

Mirrors reflect the images of him,
He sees nothing the nobody staring back with black eyes,
Face lost behind the melancholy smile,
Smile lost behind the teardrop eyes,
Joy lost behind confusion and loneliness,
Disdain with himself/disdain with all around him.

He falls unto the coals,
Broken and burnt by a world so cold,
Tranquility and peace all unseen.

Mirrors reflect the images of her,
She sees something a pure person staring back with blue eyes,
Face pure and seen through the lipstick smile,
Smile pure and seen through the mascara eyes,
Joy seen through sureness and sense of being surrounded.
Love with herself/love with all around her.

She falls unto the coals,
Mended and healed by a world so warm,
Tranquility and peace always here.

Curtains open up to her,
As her curtains open up to him,
The glass darkness and the glass light,
They stare into one another,
Blue eyes stare into the black eyes,
Black eyes into the blue,
She smiles her lipstick smile and gives a wave,
He closes curtains and goes back to the grey.

Feeling as if he made a mistake, the curtains open up to her,
She is still there still smiling,
He smiles back with his melancholy grin,
She comes up to him and he to her,
Step through the glass past the dark and past the light,
Into one another,
Together they embrace and together they love.

Two people/two worlds,
Collide into one,
No longer feeling so alone no longer missing the link,
The darkness gone and with it, it takes the sorrow and disdain,
The light it stays and with it the love and bliss.


Pt 2: Nightmare Unknown

Into the dive come the lovers divine,
Opposition from clouds of grey,
Can not stop the binding of two intertwined,
Sunset creeps leaving red across silent horizons,
Blue eyes they stare into the black eyes,
Black eyes they stare into the blue,
Starry filled with truth and light.

He pulls her into his embrace and presses sweet lips upon hers,
A kiss bringing love and passion,
Shared between the lovers of perfection,
Ground dismantled from beneath by darkness on coming.

He is pulled away from her,
She stays lost alone and confused,
Thrown into a car of light and sound,
He’s driven away.

She waits calmly for her lover to return,
But something is wrong,
Nothing can deserve such slander as he just been given,
Her sickness grows as her kidnapped lover makes it further away.

A simple affair lost between reasons unknown,
A dream filled with passion and love,
Broken into a nightmare unknown,
The shadows built from hours of mourn,
Live in a twisted dimension unknown.

He sits alone again in his dark room,
For no reason curtains closed and light taken away,
Replaced by the darkened glass once more,
Tears of salt drip down his face,
Alone again without tranquility and without peace.

A simple affair lost between reasons unknown,
A dream filled with passion and love,
Broken into a nightmare unknown,
The shadows built from hours of mourn,
Live in a twisted dimension unknown.

Unknown masked figures,
Break fury upon him with no remorse,
Futile attempts leave him battered and bruised,
Fallen angels of heavens wrath take his love,
Forced to accept the life of desolation,
Lost hope from fragment memories,
Melancholy smile returns,
Hiding behind the teardrop eyes,
This day is his last.


Pt 3: Tonight Alone

Tonight he wakes up,
Tonight the wind breaks in fragmentation,
He looks into the moon/distant and bleak,
Asphalt cakes in blackened rooms,
As dreams break from reality.

She lies awake looking for something new,
Pillows soft but comfort lost,
She looks to the moon/distant and bleak,
Asphalt cakes is blackened rooms,
As dreams break from reality.

Tonight lost alone,
Tonight no one here no voice on the phone,
Tonight-restless sleep in lost dive,
Tonight lovers divine alone they dine.

Asphalt showers from ash reality,
Lovers alone a return to what was once normality,
Scorpion kisses faint and bleeding,
Injecting poisons from sense of separation within desolation.

Tonight lost alone,
Tonight no one here no voice on the phone,
Tonight-restless sleep in lost dive,
Tonight lovers divine alone they dine.


Pt 4: Threads of Light

Abyss breaks away at the seams,
Inside his asylum like world are his screams,
Hope lost desolation found,
This world is tearing him around,
Calling for death to get only answers of rejection,
This is his final day his world unknown.

A thread of light shines through,
Fallen angels of heavens wrath no where around,
Distant they are and safety awaits/she awaits,
Pulling at the sunshine showers breaking through black glass,
He finds the way out and into her grasp,
Together they embrace as lovers lost to the seas,
Diamond kisses alive and feeling,
Injecting truth and taking desolation.

Running free as winds can glide,
Birds of heaven help in stride.

Devils chasing as fires can glide,
Bats of hell help in stride.


Pt 5: Threads of Darkness

This is his final day,
Now it is his time,
Prepare him for the abyss,
The abyss within the threads of darkness,
The scorpion kiss will bring him back to death,
And he shall forever be given the darkness of heart.

Her light shines through,
But his gaze is too weak,
Lovers of instability,
Tonight he shall no longer dine,
With another of such pure divine,
Tonight is where he shall fall.

He’s unstable mentally and physically,
Unreasonable to keep him out within civilization,
A possible psychopath a convicted maniac,
He’s no good for a girl like her,
She’s in danger with him,
As he is a danger to himself,
For his protection for his security,
We must bring him here,
To his asylum back into the rooms where he belongs.

She stares into his soul and sees the light of God’s angel,
His heart of warmth pumps with life,
He is hers and she is his,
Together forever no clouds of grey shall destroy the bind,
Gazing out onto the ocean, they sit,
Sunrise creeps leaving orange across silent waves,
His body is warm and safe,
Her protector her lover of shamrock beauty,
Inside him are no threads of darkness,
Only showers of light.


Pt 6: Final Hour

We found him the man,
He and the girl,
Together near oceans vast,
Hiding in the outcast.

He knows his time is short,
He has nothing else but her,
Family gone, friends never exist,
She is all he has all he cares of,
His orchid baby his one and only,
He tells her things will be okay,
He’ll see her again someday.

She stares as tears run down her mascara eyes,
Her lipstick smile lost,
He smiles at her and kisses her sweet lips,
“I love you,” he whispers into her ear,
“I love you too,” she whispers back.

We have him now he’s here he’s ours,
We must take him back take him away,
We know he’s unsafe a possible menace to the world outside,
He suffers from too much, he needs our help.

She lets him go,
His warmth remains,
He points to his heart “I’ll always be with you,”
He smiles a loving smile,
The melancholy lost behind the love,
His teardrop eyes full lost behind the light,
She smiles back her lipstick smile/she gives her wave.

An echo loud and booming shatters the silence,
Gunpowder ash heavy in the midsummer air,
He falls to his knees,
She runs over while she screams,
On his breaking knees he looks into her,
“I told you/I’ll always be with you.”

He falls face first into the sandpaper ground,
Teardrop eyes no longer filled with love,
Teardrop eyes empty of all life,
Mascara tears streak across her face,
Another booming echo shatters loving tears,
She falls over her lover’s body,
“Together forever.”

What went wrong who fired those shots?
He wasn’t supposed to die and neither was she.

It was her families’ wishes,
If she was with him, she too was tainted,
They both deserved death they said,
We did not fire the guns,
They were those of her father.

Curtains close to light and darkness,
Glass hidden forgotten and alone.
