This Is The Rain

This Is The Rain

A Poem by Klayton Calix
"

This poem was up years ago on WritersCafe on my old account before that thing happened and all data was lost. I found this on MySpace (whew cuz I don't have it saved anywhere else)

"
Love like winter
Simple and cold
In it's simplicity
All things turn to grey
She attempts to love again
He barely see's her today
This is the curse
It burns the lungs and froze the blood
And how she falls
From years before
Love like season's
Changing with the winds
For him its December everyday
They'll press their lips to the sky
And met my love before Im born
From years before
Love's like rain
I can't see through you
Read the lines in the rain
From far away her figure forms
She wanted love
A death of season's
He left her cold
From years before

Possibly the line, "It burns the lungs and froze the blood" could have 'froze' changed to 'freezes'. Wow. This was a deep, powerful poem. Very enticing. I like it a lot.:) Amazing write. You have some amazing talent.
